Fatih OĞUZ was born in Erzurum in 1960. His father was Hacı Hafız Dursun Efendi, one of the imam-hatips of Cennetzade Mosque. Hacı Hafız Dursun Efendi received his formal religious education from the great scholars of his time, Solakzade Sakıp Efendi and Solakzade Sadık Efendi, and obtained authorization in religious sciences such as hadith, fiqh, aqaid and inheritance law.
His spiritual training was received from Hâce Muhammed Lütfi Efendi, known as Alvarlı Efe. He was blessed to be present in gatherings of knowledge, wisdom and spiritual refinement. He passed away in 1972 at the age of 52.
His mother, Hoca Hesna Hanım, studied the Qur’an and religious knowledge from her husband Hafız Dursun Efendi. She received her spiritual training from Eş-Şeyh Esseyyid Rasim Baba Hazretleri. After Rasim Baba Hazretleri passed away, she renewed her spiritual path under Eş-Şeyh Esseyyid Hacı Hafız Mustafa Karsî Hazretleri and was blessed with the spiritual attention of two great guides. She passed away in 1996 at the age of 67.
His father and mother served Islam throughout their lives by teaching the Qur’an and religious knowledge to countless people.
Fatih OĞUZ completed his primary, secondary, high school and higher education in Erzurum. After completing his military service in 1980, he began his civil service career at Atatürk University in 1983. After serving in various units for 41 years, he retired from Karabük University in 2023.
In 1984, through his army friend Nevzat COŞKUN, he attended a Qadiri gathering and experienced a major turning point in his life. After receiving lessons from Erzurum Zakir Ali Yeşilyurt, he travelled to Istanbul that same week and visited Hacı Hafız Mustafa Karsî Hazretleri, honored by becoming spiritually connected to him.
In the same year, he fulfilled the pilgrimage by road and visited the blessed resting place of Gavsü’l-Azam Abdülkadir Geylânî Hazretleri in Baghdad, receiving the spiritual favor and attention of his pir.
For many years, he served the Halisiyye branch of the Qadiri Order in Erzurum with deep loyalty and devotion. Outside Erzurum, during his public service in Ağrı and Karabük, he also carried out the duties entrusted to him as zakir and representative. He worked sincerely for the establishment, continuation and permanence of spiritual service in these cities.
